a-england Dragon

Hello Lovelies

Today I have on two gorgeous coats of a-england Dragon from The Legend collection. I absolutely love the way Adina describes her polishes. Dragon - "Like sunlight glinting off his iridescent mossy green scales, the fearsom Dragon lays basking arrogantly, awaiting his due."

a-england Dragon

This polish has a holographic shimmer that adds soo much depth to the mossy green color. There is also some golden shimmer that works perfectly in this shade.

a-england Dragon

The consistency of Dragon is similar to the other a-england polishes, which go on smoothly but they can apply slightly heavy so there are some lines left on the nail where it's a bit too thick. If you take an extra minute or two in your application you can fix these since the polish does not dry super fast or get all gloopy when you go back over it.

a-england Dragon

Overall, I have yet to find an a-england polish I don't love. All a-england nail varnish is three free and cruelty free which is always a plus.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lime Green Gradient

I was watching all the snow melt in my yard and seeing all the dead grass hiding beneath it, soo sad. Fresh green grass was sort of my inspiration for this mani. My intention was not to have something literal so I created a bright fresh green gradient with some texture rather than a smooth transition. Almost marbleized....maybe, lol. My brain does not function quite the same as everyone elses so hopefully that made some sort of sense.

This is a base coat of Julep Fiona, a neon lime green creme. I used Lime Crime, Pastelchio and Crema de Limon as my gradient colors. Crema de limon is closest to the tips however these pictures aren't picking up the yellow color change all that much.

Lime Green Gradient

Instead of using a make-up sponge for the smooth transition, I used a random little sponge that I had around the house that was much more porous giving it a marbleized look.

Lime Green Gradient

Spring Gradient

Since I was thinking of nature and spring I decided to use my new stamping plate for some sweet little sparrows. I love these birds...you can find them on all sorts of things around my house. This is an eBay plate called MLS301.

Nail Art Society March

I got my March Nail Art Society package in the mail over the weekend and was yet again unimpressed. They sent some nail polish wraps and a bunch of different 3D nail art supplies for a '3D Freestyle' month.

The card they usually send says that they've listened to suggestions received from members and have dedicated this month to us. Seems kind of like a cop out to me. Nail art wraps don't even constitute as a polish in my mind. And that's what they originally offered (2 polishes each month plus nail art supplies). They've since changed the description but they've consistently under delivered for me, so I'm not upset at this point.

This is what they've sent this month.

NAS March

NAS March
Caviar beads, pink flower stick ons and sheer yellow iridescent drops

NAS March
3D Flowers and apple slices

The one good thing that NAS is going this month is that they are holding contests for the most creative use of the NAS accessories. Share your nail art pictures with NAS on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, or any other social media site.

I've mentioned before that I am locked into the $9.95 price so I will probably get a few more months because I'm sure as soon as I cancel there will be a great month and I'll be pissed. The $10 is relatively worth it to get some things I wouldn't ever really buy myself.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mystery Clouds

Hello Hello

Is it spring yet? Soon enough I guess, it just won't stop snowing here. The Tulips in my front yard must be confused. *shrug*

Anyways..on to the good stuff right? :)

Julep Mystery Green

This is two coats of Julep Mystery Green #4 which is a cross between turquoise and mint green. It went on pretty smooth and the consistency was nice; not too thin, not to thick and it leveled quite nicely.

I stamped the clouds using Konad black and BM-312.

I LOVE this color! It's a shame that I found this color so late as it was a limited shade and probably won't be offered again. I guess I'll have to treasure this bottle.

Deep, Rich and Warm

We've been having some big snow storms lately. On Tuesday we got about 7 more inches of snow so I was feeling like I needed something dark and warm on my nails. I reached for Zoya Isla, a rich and velvety black toned red shimmer and Gilty, Zoyas 18k gold flake topcoat.

Zoya Gilty and Isla

This is two coats of Isla and Gilty on the tips of my nails. I also added a coat of Seche Vite to smooth it all out and add that high gloss shine.

I don't wear Gilty enough...god It's gorgeous!!

Nail Art Society Package

Hi guys! I realized that I never showed you my February Nail Art Society Package. I joined this subscription when it first started at the cost of $9.95; Before they raised the price to $19.95.

What I received in the Feb package was a Finger Paints polish called Art You Kidding Me?, a dotting tool, some small golden chain, a pink heart nail buffer and some pink lace to use for nail art. I'm an idiot and realized afterward that there were some little plastic cursive 'Love' pieces as well although I forgot them for this picture (but I borrowed a picture from a fellow blogger below).

Nail Art Society

Courtesy of You Had Me At Makeup
'Each month they deliver the latest tools, polishes and nail accessories to your door for you to recreate current nail trends at home. They provide exclusive access to Q&A's, video tutorials, trend reports, and tips from Celebrity Nail Artists, Bloggers and Beauty Insiders.'

Sooo...I've gotten 2 packages so far and their site is a bit misleading because they list brands such as Essie, Zoya, LVX, OPI, and China Glaze but I've gotten Finger Paints and some other relatively cheap brand polishes. I do like that they give you different tools and nail art accessories. They also give you some ideas on what to do with the products and a step by step instruction for a specific manicure they seem to like from a blogger. For the $9.95 price tag I will continue for a few more months, but I can honestly say that the $19.95 price tag is not worth it in my opinion.
